Designed to provide precisely-controlled uniform particle size distributions, MPE's Limestone Gran-U-Lizers produce fewer unwanted "fines" in limestone grinding applications where exact particle size distribution is desired. MPE Gran-U-Lizers are proven to be extremely accurate when used in limestone crushing applications, particularly those used in SO2 reduction systems and in agricultural applications.
MPE's IMD 1042/1052 Gran-U-Lizers are a result of MPE's years of experience grinding a variety of friable materials. They differ from other types of size reduction equipment in that they use a series of specially-designed paired rollers to impart a "cracking" action, which allows limestone to be reduced to a 10 to 20 mesh finished product size with a minimal generation of "fines".
Typically, two or three pairs of rollers are stacked in such a way that material which has been reduced in one set of rolls becomes feed for the next stage. Furthermore, because the system design allows for the use of micrometer-like settings for each pair of rollers, precision particle size adjustments can be easily made.
Other unique features include modular design, high-speed independent motor drive configuration and precision, digitally-indicated automatic roll gap control. The IMD 1042 and 1052 Gran-U-Lizers are available in single-pair, double-pair and triple-pair configurations.
