Israel -- Liad Weighing & Control Systems will be demonstrating the ColorSave 1000 gravimetric dosing unit at this week’s FAKUMA Show, Oct. 17 - 21, 2006, in Freidrichshafen, Germany.
Based on Liad’s proprietary technology and technical experience, the ColorSave 1000, works on the loss-in-weight principle to achieve consistent accuracy and repeatability.
Explains Liad engineer Amit Dagan, “We saw a situation among plastics manufacturers where costly masterbatch was being wasted due to inaccurate – sometimes random – dosing, and we knew that we could develop a solution that would not only guarantee homogeneity but also save on masterbatch consumption. So we developed the ColorSave 1000 gravimetric dosing system for both injection-molders and extruders, which solves these problems while offering automatic control parameters.”
Adds Dagan, “Since our first feeder came onto the market, we have sold thousands of ColorSave 1000's and have developed different versions of the system for various customer needs – adding more feeding channels, adapting the system for regrind, customizing the controlling software, etc.”
At FAKUMA Show, Liad will be exhibiting at the Blomoco Stand No. 3205 in Hall A3.
