Charlotte, NC -- MikroPul’s new Grapoid™ reduces labor and bag replacement costs by providing quick, easy removal of top loading snap-in pleated and felt bags in baghouses. Because of the bags’ very tight seal with the grid plate — required for leak-free operation — bag replacement / removal is normally time-consuming and labor intensive and often causes damage to the bags, preventing their reuse.
MikroPul’s unique device breaks the seal without effort: lessening stress and strain on maintenance workers and allowing a single worker to complete a task that formerly required two workers; providing rapid removal — approximately 10 seconds per bag; and avoiding damage to bags, so they may be reused. Bag removal with the Grapoid also eliminates bags being dropped into the hopper so there is no possibility of internal contamination of reused bags.
The Grapoid is operated by a standard cordless drill, pneumatic wrench, or hand tool. The Grapoid is placed over the bag and the drill (or tool) is inserted into the connector on the Grapoid’s top. When the drill’s trigger is pulled, the Grapoid’s jaws clinch around the bag, forcing it upward and free of the grid plate.
For felt bags, one of the jaws is replaced by a special version that dimples the bag. The Grapoid is available in two sizes, accommodating most known top removal pleated and felt bag sizes.
