Neponset, IL -- Martin Engineering has introduced the Martin Pit Viper™ Sand and Gravel Belt Cleaner, an aggressive pre-cleaner specifically engineered for applications in the aggregate industries.
With effective cleaning in an economical package, the new Martin Pit Viper™ Belt Cleaner will meet operating requirements in sand and gravel pits and other aggregate applications. It will remove sticky sand and wet fines on belts from dredges, sand screws and other sand processing operations.
The blade of the new Martin Pit Viper™ Belt Cleaner uses an aggressive angle of attack that increases cleaning efficiency. Its one-piece urethane blade contains approximately 20 percent more urethane than comparable pre-cleaners, extending service life.
The Martin Pit Viper™ Belt Cleaner allows quick and easy “one-pin, no-tool” blade replacement. The sturdy blade drops in place onto the cleaner’s reinforced steel mainframe and is secured with a wire lock pin.
The new Martin Engineering Sand and Gravel Belt Cleaner can be used on head pulleys up to 16 inches in diameter and belt widths from 12 to 42 inches (300 to 1067 mm). Belt coverage can be either two inches (50 mm) or six inches (150 mm) less than belt width, as determined by the width of the conveyor cargo.
The Martin Pit Viper™ Belt Cleaner is available as an economical assembly including mainframe, urethane blade, and Martin Spring Cable Tensioner.
The Martin Pit Viper™ Sand and Gravel Belt Cleaner is covered by U.S. and international patents issued and pending.
