NAPLES, FL -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its July 2007 Booked Orders Index was 142 down 45 points or a decrease of 24% from June 2007's Index of 187 (1990=100). The July 2007 Index represents an increase of 5% from the July 2006 Index of 135.
July Booked Orders Indexes were 186 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 127 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 151 in July. Index in July is unchanged from June 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 151.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 134 in July. Index in July is down 13 points or 9% from June 2007's Index of 147. The July 2007 Index represents a decrease of 4 points or 3% the July 2006 Index of 138.
July Billed Sales Indexes were 191 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 125 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 145 in July. Index in July is down 1 point or 1% from June 2007's Twelve-Month Index of 146.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
