To facilitate studies about this topic, Haver & Boecker has developed various product testing devices that provide valuable information for the specialists in filling technology. Now the customers of Haver & Boecker can use these proven test devices as permanent fixtures in their own testing and quality control laboratories.
The Haver Trickle Tester is such a test device. It is used for determining the falling speed of loose, powder-type products. Using this instrument, the trickle properties of loose granular products are determined by measuring the trickle time and by observing the trickle behaviour through a hopper under specified conditions. In addition the Haver Trickle Tester can check different batches of the same product for uniformity of quality.
Positive conclusions may be drawn from the tests results regarding the optimum machine configuration that makes up the process. Also quality deviations for the same product can be detected.
