SALINA, KS -- Vortex® Valves Europe Ltd. will display its Vortex Fill-Pass Diverter™ Valve at Powtech 2008, Hall 9, Stand 119, September 30 to Oct 2, in Nurnberg, Germany. The Fill-Pass Diverter provides a versatile and reliable method for filling one or more “in-line” weigh hoppers when material is conveyed pneumatically through a closed loop system.
The original Vortex-designed Fill-Pass Diverter can be applied to divert material flow of non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powders, granulars, or pellets. It is specifically engineered to divert dry bulk solids in a vacuum or dilute phase pneumatic conveying system with pressure up to 15 psig (1.0 barg).
The diverter valve allows the convenience of continuous conveying, without having to shut down the conveying line to shift ports. The Vortex diverter has “live loaded” wear compensating seals that self-clean on each actuation. The diverter also has seal plates that are shielded from blast abrasion allowing the diverter to positively seal air and material over its service life. It is stackable to accommodate multiple conveying lines in the milling, food, plastic, chemical and mineral industries.
