Split Shaft Seals For Abrasive Processes

Georgetown, Maine -- MECO custom-engineered shaft seals are built to withstand industry's most abrasive products, including sugar, porcelain, starch, gypsum, talc, silica, salt--even industrial diamonds.

Patented seal designs accommodate 6mm and more of shaft run-out and protect shafts from product damage on dry-running powder and bulk solids processing and handling equipment. Many MECO seals use a self-compensating driving elastomer as the seal's only interface with the shaft, allowing the seal to accommodate significant radial and angular shaft misalignment and shock loads, as well as thermal growth in high-temperature process machinery.

Fully split models can be retrofitted easily without removal of bearing or drive on rotating equipment such as conveyors, mixers, dryers and bucket elevators. Sanitary designs available.
