Exton, PA -- The fluidised bed jet mills of the CGS series, for the highest level of fineness at optimal efficiency, are now available in additional sizes.

The new CGS 10 series was conceived for laboratory applications, for a gas-flow volume of 50 m3/hr. The mill is equipped with tree nozzles, installed horizontally in the bottom section of the housing. The drive motor of the classifier wheel, with a capacity of 1 kW, is flanged directly on to the classifier head and rotates the classifier wheel at a rate of 18000 RPM.

The classifier head can be opened 180° for easy cleaning and maintenance. At this year’s Achema we will be exhibiting a stainless steel mill with a feed regulator, cyclone, filter, blower and switch cabinet that is produced in small series.

The complete system is mounted on a base frame and is delivered to the customer completely installed.Machine sizes CGS 150 and CGS 180 were added to the delivery program for the implementation of this type of milling technology for higher ranges of capacity.

These sizes, with a gas throughput of up to 14000 m3/hr, represent the most efficient fluidised bed jet mills of their series. The equipping with four precisely positioned nozzles each, guarantees the best use of energy. Losses in the milling gas supply are avoided through an optimum geometry of all gas conveying parts. The grain size of the milled product is limited by a classifier wheel installed horizontally, that can be swung open together with the top of the machine.

The existing delivery program for the CGS series encompasses a total of nine sizes from laboratory capacities up to industrial productions.
