Conyers, GA -- HAVER, a specialist for technically high-quality packaging plants, is very happy about having sold the 400th FFS machine since its introduction. Thus the success of a consistent advancement of the FFS model is confirmed.

The HAVER FFS machines are ideal for the filling of granular, micro-granular or powdery bulk materials into plastic bags. It is known that the bag is produced in the filling machine by a film reel by means of the FFS technique, the bulk material is weighed net before filling and the bag is filled and sealed above. By using most modern PE tubular films with a wall thickness starting from 90 microns and more the FFS bag is nowadays an unrivalled favourable packaging means.

The latest development of the FFS technique is "THE ADAMS", a rotating high-performance filling machine that fills powdery products and building materials cleanly, densely and compactly into plastic tubular film bags. Bag manufacturing, transfer, filling and sealing of the filled bag transfer work at an output of up to 1,200 bags per hour in the automatic mode.

An integral component of FFS-systems is the upstream HAVER net weigher which is responsible for product dosing and weight accuracy. In the meantime machine capacities of more than 2,200 bags/h have been reached with the high-duty machines.

The majority of the 400 FFS systems supplied so far was used for the packing of plastics and apart from that for other chemical products as well as for salt, fertilizers and other products.
