Orlando, FL -- WBF, the Forum for Automation and Manufacturing Professionals, invites industry professionals to learn how to "jazz up" their manufacturing processes at its 2006 North American (NA) Conference. The program has been expanded this year to deliver even more value than ever before. Added to the exciting agenda are updated tutorials on ISA-88 and ISA-95; and three new tutorials on SP99, Application of the B2MML schemas, and "How to Deal with Legal Issues Facing the Automation Industry”. Bryan Singer, Chairman of the SP99 Committee, will present the SP99 tutorial. The NA Conference will be held March 5 - 8 in Atlanta, GA at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, located within easy shuttle access from the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
The program was expanded to also include: Monday and Tuesday plenary sessions feature outstanding keynote speakers; dual-track sessions on Monday afternoon offer more choices in papers; and affiliated organizations MESA International and the Control and Information Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) are participating in the program. MESA will present a session on system security. In addition, you won't want to miss the special panel on Tuesday morning that will discuss "Future Trends in Automation." It all adds up to an abundance of practical information that you can take back and apply at your plant.
According to WBF Chairman Maurice Wilkins of Millennium Specialty Chemical, a Lyondell Company, “This year’s conference agenda has it all: user forums, case studies, standards tutorials, dual-track sessions, a Sponsor Showcase and panel discussions, to mention just a few activities. We’re especially excited about the MESA International session on system security included on this year’s agenda. The program provides something for everyone – from the novice to the seasoned professional - and includes valuable information that can be easily taken back and implemented," he states.
“We are very excited about the quantity and excellent quality of the papers and presentations that we have included on this year’s agenda,” says Bill Stewart, Jr., Regional Engineering Leader - West Virginia/Pacific for Dow Chemical and Program Chairman for the 2006 NA Conference. Bill is responsible for all program activities for this year’s conference – making sure there is a strong user focus.
WBF’s NA conference is open to both members and non-members and is an excellent opportunity to learn about the practical experiences of other professionals and to take advantage of what others have learned without repeating their mistakes. In addition to the learning experience, attendees have the opportunity to speak with experts from all areas of the automation industry on critical and current topics. Time and again, a feature of the conference that brings people back is being able to network with peers and industry experts. The agenda is designed to accommodate this, with ample networking time allocated throughout the program.
