place serving the $400 billion industrial equipment market.

The Dock's easy-to-use exchange connects buyers and sellers of
all types of chemical processing equipment. From acetators to

Portasilo At Forefront Of Sheffield Waste To Energy Scheme
------------------------------------------------------------

Portasilo Bulk Handling Systems has commissioned a new silo
and outloading facility at the Sheffield Municipal Waste to
Energy Plant, for main contractor NNC. The silo is an integral
part of the air pollution control system at this clinical
and municipal waste incineration plant.

Portasilo's turnkey supply included a fully clad and
insulated silo, manufactured in 3CR12 corrosion resistant
alloy.

This silo and tanker filling system replaces existing plant
which has corroded due to the nature of the municipal waste
ash. To overcome this problem, Portasilo manufactured the
silo from 3CR12 corrosion resistant steel alloy. The silo
is insulated and clad, and is trace heated within the cone
area to ensure that condensation cannot form from the
introduction of hot ash into a relatively cool storage bin.

The silo stores 130m³ of this variable and difficult product.
Ash enters the silo via two large cyclones, also designed
and manufactured by Portasilo Bulk Handling Systems. These
cyclones are also trace heated and insulated to maintain
the temperature of the ash through the system. Discharge
from the silo is effected by the use of a vibratory
bin-activator, which feeds a horizontal screw conveyor and
tanker loading system.

Portasilo was chosen for this project due to its capabilities
in the design and manufacture of vessels and systems to store
and handle difficult materials. In addition, the new silo had
to be installed on to an existing structure, which needed to
be upgraded to suit the new silo and its increased storage
capacity. All this was done within a tight installation
window as the incinerator could not be shut down for
protracted periods.

Portasilo is at the forefront of the battle against
environmental pollution in waste treatment and offers
customers the benefits of 45 years of experience in handling
some of the most difficult particulate materials.

New, Small Posimetric Feeder to be Introduced at Powder Show
------------------------------------------------------------

A new version of the Posimetric Feeder, specially designed
for process applications, will be introduced at Powder Show
in Chicago, May 8-10, booth 252.

Using the same operating principle of the larger capacity
Posimetric models, this new version handles from one-to two-tph
of virtually any dry bulk solid. It now enables many processes
to take advantage of the superior performance of this
breakthrough feeder design.

Among the unequaled benefits of this feeder are: virtually
no wear, even after years of service handling abrasive
materials, no belts to break or become misaligned, no need
to recalibrate, no jamming or plugging, accuracy of 99.5%,
only a single moving part, one-piece frame construction,
and no special tools needed for disassembly.

This new Posimetric Feeder will be on display at The Power
Show, along with transparent operating models that
demonstrate its unique operating principle.

Mr. Ferguson needs help with powder dispensing:

I'm looking for a recommendation on the best way to add a
powder to a product line. We want to consistently dust the
product with an even amount. I was thinking of an adjustable
vibratory feeder (approx. 0.5 pounds per hour).

Could someone recommend a quality manufacturer of such
equipment. I can reached directly by e-mail at
