New High Pressure Rotary Valve for Wet or Dry Particles

May 7th, 2002, Chicago, IL -- Ventilex USA Inc. introduces their High Pressure, High Temperature Rotary Steam Valves at the 2002 Powder and Bulk Solids Show and Exhibition, booth number 15061, in Chicago, Illinois. This valve has never been introduced to the North American market until this show.

Click hereVentilex Rotary Steam Valves are known worldwide for their high quality and efficient operation. The Rotary Valves are used in various types of industries for continuous pressure-cooking and sterilization or ultra pasteurization of spices, herbs and other products. Ventilex Self Cleaning Rotary Valves for continuous pressure cookers/steamers are known for their reliability and versatility.

In addition to being utilized as continuous autoclaves for cereals and other foodstuffs, the Ventilex Continuous Steam Sterilizing System is most successfully used for the H.T.S.T. (High Temperature Short Time) decontamination of spices, herbs and seeds worldwide. These sterilizers are always combined with Ventilex fluid bed dryers/coolers along with air filters, dust separators, clean in place (CIP) units and control systems.

The process is simple: Expose the contaminated material to saturated steam for a very short time, then dry and cool the product. While the idea is simple, the practicality of making a continuous system that can treat powders next to whole spices is unique and makes the system applicable for a large range of products.

Every high pressure steaming process starts at the self cleaning rotary pressure valves for product feed into a continuous autoclave. These valves are really "key" to a successful system. You must be able to subject the product to saturated steam of relatively high pressure in order to decontaminate the product adequately.

The all stainless steel rotary valves are very heavy duty and have a unique feature - they have a cleaning knife that scrapes the pocket of the rotary valve each time it is exposed. This assures that no matter what product you process, that clogging and sticking do not occur.

The low speed rotary valves are made of hardened stainless steel to provide a long service life. Our revolutionary C.I.P. design (Clean-In-Place) keeps the machinery clean and frees up your plant personnel for other important tasks. Advanced controls assures you complete control over your process.

Ventilex has outfitted a complete pilot testing facility that can test almost any product. Testing at the Ventilex Pilot Plant can be an economical method of determining if steam decontamination and/or sterilization is the proper method for your product. Costs are based on per day of testing plus any out of pocket expenses. Additionally, laboratory analysis of the tested product can be arranged by Ventilex through a neutral third party at additional costs.
