The purchased assets were transferred from the seller to a newly-created Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprise established by K-Tron which will conduct business under the name Wuxi K-Tron Colormax Machinery Co., Ltd. (“Wuxi K-Tron Colormax”).

The total cost of the transaction over a five-year period, including the purchase price and payments under related employment and other arrangements with Wuxi Chenghao’s owner, could be as much as approximately $3.5 million.

Cloues continues, "Our new WFOE, Wuxi K-Tron Colormax, provides us with the opportunity to sell Chinese designed and manufactured feeders and related equipment to Chinese customers in local currency. The establishment of Wuxi K-Tron Colormax is a major step forward in K-Tron’s strategic plan to expand our global leadership position in feeding and pneumatic conveying equipment for difficult to handle materials.”

High Temp Fluidizer for Dry Bulk Applications

Minneapolis, MN -- Solimar Pneumatics, a leader in the dry bulk handling industry, recently introduced a new high-temperature fluidizer disk. Used to promote the discharge of dry powders from storage silos, dust collectors, weigh bins and filters, this new fluidizer withstands temperatures from -50° to 450°F (-45°to 230°C).

This severe conditions performance provides piece of mind for storage and transport of fly ash storage, cement manufacturing and steel mill applications.

Solimar offers a family of silo fluidizers that enable a uniform flow of most dry bulk materials through aeration and hopper wall vibration. The fluidizer disk distributes air along the bin wall, freeing up product evenly and efficiently while minimum back pressure ensures energy is directed within the walls of the silo or storage container.

Click image to see Solimar Fluidizer animation!
Gentle vibration aids in product flow and ensures no compacting or plugging. The patented silicone rubber disk seals tightly against the silo wall to prevent airline plugging and will not tear or pick up moisture. These combined performance characteristics help prevent bridging, rat holing and compacting.

Solimar Pneumatics specializes in dry bulk handling products including silo fluidizers, hopper access doors, disk and plate fluidizers for trailers and automatic manhole covers for trailers.

PRIMS Software Installed at PA Bakery

Brightwaters, NY - Focus Works Inc. reseller, Allan Ferrin, of Cornerstone Automation, completed his first install of PRIMS Software last week at the Stroehmann's Bakery Plant in Pennsylvania.

PRIMS is recipe software for PLC controlled ingredient batching systems. It allows the user to create formulations and production schedules for the mixers and send them to the ingredient system PLCs. The batching is automated, scaling deviations and ingredient usages are recorded.

"The startup went very well," said Alan Ferrin. "The great part was not having any programming to do on the computer software side." The customer's operators and managers were extremely pleased with the system, its ease of use and functionality.

"The PRIMS system was one tenth the work and time to put in and the customer got a much better system, a more robust system that was easier to use with a ton more features," Ferrin continued.

Focus Works Inc. provides unique out-of-the-box software for factory automation. Our products are designed for the non-technical customer who needs a straight-forward solution that works. The purpose of the software products is to provide a short return on investment for manufacturing in these industries.
