Safe : Air-Powered Vacuum with HEPA Filter

Belleville, NJ -- In response to one of our customers needs, VAC-U-MAX created this 55 gallon twin venturi industrial vacuum cleaner cover with HEPA filtration.

This unit was designed to pick up hazardous dusty material in the presence of solvent vapors. The solvent environment created a potential explosion hazard, which required the vacuum to be intrinsically safe. VAC-U-MAX constructed a vacuum to operate on safe compressed air with anti-sparking stainless steel construction and static-conductive dust filter.

Additionally the hazardous dust also required HEPA filtration rated 99.97% efficient on particles as small as 0.3 micron. VAC-U-MAX also supplied a static-conductive vacuum hose, which is chemically resistant to 99% of industrial chemicals including solvents such as Toluene, Xylene, etc.

In liquid applications where HEPA filters are not a requirement, this same unit can be equipped with a liquid shutoff valve to pick up liquid solvents, such as Toluene, Methanol, Xylene at rates up to 2 gallons per second.

A pioneer in vacuum pneumatic conveying, VAC-U-MAX specializes in the design and manufacture of pneumatic systems and support equipment for the conveying, weighing, and batching of dry materials. An equally important activity is the design and manufacture of heavy-duty industrial vacuum cleaners, which from small air- and electric-powered drum-styled units to large electric- and diesel-powered units.

Vibration Monitoring System for Conveyors

Milliard, OH -- The Balmac Model 191 Vibration Transmitter is capable of measuring up to 25 inches per second of vibration velocity on bulk handling conveyor systems.

When used with a Model 1112 Vibration Monitor, or other existing control system, the Model 191 continuously monitors controlled vibration levels required to move bulk product at optimum process speeds. If vibration levels drop below or go above operator selected preset limits, the system will trip relays to automatically activate alarms and alert operators to the problem.

Model 191 is intrinsically safe and is listed by UL-Underwriters Laboratories for use in hazardous locations (Listing ZTSZ). Class I, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Groups E, F and G; Class III, Divisions 1 and 2.

Balmac Inc. is a world class manufacturer of vibration monitors, meters, switches, analyzers, portable balancers and balancing machines. Balmac products are cost effective, reliable solutions for vibration monitoring for industrial and commercial applications. For more than 29 years, we have manufactured and sold our instruments around the world.
