HAPPY NEW YEAR
Welcome to the new millennium! Though this newsletter is
written on 12/30/99, we predict a great year to come. I could
be wrong and by next week the Y2K glitch has happened and
we are all reading by candlelight...but I don't think that
will really happen.
May you have enormous success and wonderful adventures in
the coming year!
Our goal is to provide information to improve your business
by using the resources available on the internet.
Thanks,
Joe Taylor

NASA Honors Charles Reade
------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Charles F. Reade, Jr., President of Reade Advanced
Materials headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, was
recently recognized as a 1999 recipient of the National
Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) "Commitment to
Excellence Award" at the 8th Annual NASA Technology &
Business Conference held in Danvers, MA.
The Reade family has been in the specialty chemical business
since the year 1773, when Reade Brothers & Co., Ltd. was
formed in Wolverhampton, England. Reade Brothers later
received an Honorable Mention at the 1878 Worlds Fair in
Paris, France for creative chemistry.
In 1881, the business was completely relocated to America.
During World War II, the Reade family business was honored
with two separate US Army/US Navy "E" Awards for production
excellence.
Since 1983, Reade Advanced Materials (READE) has concentrated
on the manufacture and value added custom processing from
dedicated facilities on the East and West Coast of America.
READE currently supplies NASAs R&D centers and prime
vendors with high technology specialty materials like
ceramics, nanocrystals, aluminides, foam metals, nanotubes,
superconductors, polymers, molecules, and fibers for use
in advanced applications.
Mr. Reade is a pioneer within the American small business
community toward e-commerce. READE commenced paperless EDI
transactions and procurement credit card payments with GE
in 1986. In early 1994, they established a first in the
inorganic powder industry with their award winning 660-page
e-commerce web site located at http://www.reade.com/

NORWALK, CT (December 27, 1999) - Powder & Bulk Solids
Conference/Exhibition has inaugurated an important new free
benefit to its attendees and exhibitors: the new Appointment
Scheduler, an on-line tool designed to help customers schedule
appointments and to meet with potential buyers or suppliers
during the exhibition.
Powder & Bulk Solids Conference/Exhibition will be held at
the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago),
Illinois, from May 9-11, 2000.
Each year, REC adds new attractions and features to add
value to Powder & Bulk Solids Conference/Exhibition, says
Kevin Richards, Industry Vice President, REC. We are pleased
to offer our customers this exciting new on-line scheduler
that is sure to make appointment-setting a breeze.
The time saving appointment-setter allows web-goers to
contact exhibitors via the Powder & Bulk Solids web site.
By clicking on the appointment setting icon, customers
can select the dates and times in which they would like
to meet with the exhibitors of their choice. Requests
are then e-mailed to exhibitors, who are able to confirm
the appointments. The free service allows exhibitors to
check in and see how many meetings they have prior to the
show. As an added benefit, schedules can be easily printed
out to keep customers organized on the busy show floor.

scheduler, call:
