Announces New President
Grove,
OK -- All State Tank Manufacturing, LLC., is very pleased to
announce the appointment of storage structure veteran John
Farris as President, effective immediately.
"John
brings a great deal of industry knowledge to All State from
his experience as both President and CEO of A. O. Smith
Engineered Storage Products, and President and
Vice-President Engineering/Construction of Peabody TecTank,
Inc.," said Darrel Robertson, All State Tank Manufacturing,
Chairman of the Board and CEO. "His 25+ years of experience
in our industry, plus the familiarity gained working with
our original tank erection division, made John the ideal
choice to help us achieve our ambitious goals."
A
well known bulk material handling industry consultant, Chuck
Copenhaver, agrees. "John and I have worked together on a
number of projects over the years and he has great insight
and connections across the industry. I look forward to
working with him again in his new role."
"All
State's expansion into the manufacturing arena brings an
exciting new storage solution into the industry and I look
forward to amplifying their rapid growth", said Farris. "I
am very pleased to have the opportunity to continue to work
with many of the fine professionals I originally met through
All State's Field Erection Group."
Farris will be responsible for guiding the direction of all
segments of All State Tank Manufacturing's business;
engineering, sales, marketing, and production.
Farris, with more than twenty-five years in the bulk storage
industry, joins All State from SMC in Conklin, New York,
where he was Vice-President and General Manager. Prior to
joining SMC, Mr. Farris was President of Engineered Storage
Products Company, President and CEO of A. O. Smith
Engineered Storage Products Company, and President of
Peabody TecTank, Incorporated.
About
All State Tank Manufacturing
All
State Tank's twenty seven years of experience, erecting
field assembled tanks and silos, naturally evolved into
manufacturing, with the success of their unique flat panel
tank design. Their panels are finished with a permanently
bonded, NSF approved, powder coating which is applied in a
controlled environment at the factory. The new manufacturing
facility is a 56,000 square foot, state-of-the-art
structure, completed in November of 2003. All State's tanks
and silos are an optimum storage solution for municipal and
industrial liquids or industrial dry bulk materials.

Ingredients : How to get a
Perfect Batch
Patchouge, NY -- In order to create that perfect batch you
need consistent quality, reduced ingredient losses, less
operator errors and exact scaling out of the system you
implement. All of these traits and more can be found in BIT
Corporation's PRIMS Batching System.

PRIMS
combines them into one system, your current temperature
controls, mixer timers, mixer controls, hopper scale panels,
operator terminals, and liquid meters. With this reduced
component count, PRIMS ensures that your batch will come out
how you want it each and every time.
PRIMS
will also make you money, it reduces errors that lead to
ingredient waste. You will see a return on your investment
within the first six months. PRIMS is for both large & small
plant operations. Manual & automatic operations, operator
entry and barcode scanning are supported by the system. An
added bonus is that PRIMS communicates with all standard
accounting packages.
PRIMS
also handles multiple ingredient lot numbers for each
ingredient in a batch and handles batch overlapping and
sub-recipes within the batch. It also supports ingredient
and batch lot tracking helping you to comply with the
mandatory FDA bioterrorism title III act. PRIMS is also
expandable and upgradeable so it will grow with your
company.
BIT
Corp offers products for food processing automation, product
tracking, and product development. We have preventive
maintenance software and maintenance management software.

Under Pressure
: New Flame and Explosion Proof Valve
Eindhoven,
The Netherlands -- VDL Agrotech introduces a new flame and
explosion proof valve, the Valvex. The Valvex can be used as
a protection device in dust removing plants and meets the
current ATEX-guidelines. Besides this, a recognized German
test institute has certified this valve flame and explosion
proof until 3 bar.
VDL
Agrotech offers a very good relation between price and
quality in comparison with the explosion proof valves on the
market. Another advantage is the fact that the Valvex has
been build according to the familiar modular concept and
equipped with a D = 250 or D = 350 connecting flange,
according to PN10 DIN 2576.
VDL
Agrotech is a leading supplier of components in many fields
of industry and also offers you professional advise in using
the right component for a wide range of applications in bulk
goods handling and ventilation. The exclusive dealership for
various first class products and the well known
"Heesen-Technocom HT rotary valves", engineered and produced
by VDL Agrotech make our products a well-known part in many
installations.

Mr. Nazir needs help with
grinding and packaging:
We have recently installed a
centrifugal micro powder plant and at present we are
grinding lime stone, but we are facing a problem that the
surface roundness of the particle is not as fine as of ball
mills.
When we fill a sack it all
settles down, but when we fill a sack from ball mill, the
sack remains full. What can we do to improve the
surface roundness?

The “Smart” Choice for Lithium Metal Powder Handling
Avestor has to ensure
efficient and safe supply of their powdered raw
materials from around the world. The powders involved
are valuable and moisture sensitive, therefore the
method of packaging and transportation are critical
factors. The powders are also very poor flowing and,
after weeks or months in transit to the factory, they
are sure to be compacted and difficult to discharge to
