Expo Pack Mexico 2007 : Packaging Success

Mexico City, Mexico -- As the Latin American marketplace for packaging and processing solutions continues to expand, EXPO PACK Mexico, now in its 22nd edition, will once again be at the center of the industry. EXPO PACK Mexico and PROCESA will be held June 26-29, 2007 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City, Mexico.

EXPO PACK Mexico 2007 will showcase state-of-the-art machinery, equipment, containers, materials and services to meet the changing needs of the Latin American marketplace. PROCESA, the renowned food and beverage processing machinery and equipment exhibition, will take place concurrently with EXPO PACK Mexico. The event features the latest innovations in the constantly growing food processing industry.

Serving the entire Latin American marketplace, both shows feature more than 700 packaging and processing solutions providers for a wide range of industries, such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and personal care, among others. The show will also feature international pavilions from the Argentina, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United States.

Mexico continues to be a vital market for the packaging machinery industry, with the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors experiencing annual growth. According to the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), sponsor and producer of the show, the food industry is the largest packaging machinery buyer in Mexico.

Mexico is the third largest beer producer and continues as the second largest market for soft drink products in the world. The pharmaceutical industry is also a significant customer of the packaging machinery industry, with approximately 10% of the total demand. With the Mexican drug market averaging 7% annual growth over the last three years, this demand is projected to increase.

"All economic indicators continue to point to Mexico as one of the largest, most dynamic packaging and processing machinery markets in the world,” notes Charles D. Yuska, President & CEO of PMMI. “The shows continue to support the needs of the marketplace and we look forward to bringing the industry together for education, networking and strong supplier/customer interaction.”

EXPO PACK Mexico and PROCESA provide national and international professionals a forum to explore the best options in machinery and consumables for some of the most competitive industries worldwide. In 2006, 30,000 attendees came to the event to find solutions.

"These individuals return year after year to EXPO PACK Mexico and PROCESA because the shows clearly deliver the solutions they need,” adds Yuska. “In fact, our attendee research indicates that 85% of the attendees found the products or services they were looking for.”

Each year, EXPO PACK Mexico and PROCESA have consistently exceeded all attendance expectations. Since 2004, total attendance of professional visitors increased 14%. In addition, the shows have seen a 20% increase in international attendance.

EXPO PACK Mexico and PROCESA will be held June 26 – 29, 2007 at Centro Banamex, Mexico City
