Motionless Mixers For Low Turbulent & High Viscosity Mixing
------------------------------------------------------------
Charles Ross & Son Company, the leader in specialty mixing
and dispersion equipment, offers two economical designs of
its Motionless Mixers. The LPD, low pressure model is typically
used for low viscosity turbulent flow mixing of fluids and
for gas-liquid, gas-gas mixing. This design is offered in
many materials of construction and to 48 inches diameter.
These mixers are easily customized to include special feed
nozzles and injectors for major and minor product streams.
The ISG is unique and includes specially machined elements
with passageways that guarantee the mixing of any pumpable
material. After passing through ten elements the ISG will
layer materials over 2,000,000 times to provide a
microscopically layered mixture. ISG elements are stackable
in any quantity to provide mixing quality as needed in the
process.
The ISG is supplied in a range of cast or machined materials
to suit the application through 12 inches diameter.

Pipeline Delumper has Convenient Seal Cartridge
------------------------------------------------------------
The Pipeline Delumper effectively reduces solids to a uniform
output size in fully enclosed pipe or inline systems. This
unit improves process systems by alleviating blockages,
enhancing smooth operation, feeding and dissolving processes.
The Delumper is an ultra-compact pipe mounted unit that
operates under pressure, vacuum or gravity in liquid, pneumatic
or dry systems.
The exclusive bearing/seal cartridge design of the delumper
brings a new level of ease of maintenance to the unit. Each,
one-piece cartridge contains a pre-installed mechanical seal
and the unit bearing. These cartridges simply bolt on the
body assembly. This makes installation far easier and
alleviates the need for maintenance personnel to handle the
internal components. A choice of several seal configurations
are available to meet most application requirements.
The delumper uses special teeth that rotate through a grating
to reduce solids. The unit is self-clearing with each rotation.
This rugged design can handle hard, sticky, wet, dry, brittle
temperature or pressure sensitive solids with ease. It
disintegrates tough objects.

Extensive and diverse laboratory testing facilities are an
integral part of General Kinematics product development for
vibrating fluidized bed processing for chemicals, foods and
pharmaceuticals. Typical customer applications include
heating, drying, cooling, coating and elutriation. Also,
forced convection heating, drying, and cooling of larger
particle size materials, and indirect heating and cooling
of powder and granular materials.
Full scale material trials are also available for VIBRA-DRUM®
direct gas contact heating, drying, cooling, and coating of
"difficult to fluidize" products such as large flake, stringy
or tacky materials. General Kinematics equipment performance
trials for Vibratory Spiral Elevators used in heating, drying
or cooling of bulk materials are also available.
Comprehensive material trials are performed at the company's
testing laboratory. Field test equipment is also available for
processing trials at customer facilities. Thorough materials
testing enables General Kinematics to produce
application-specific vibratory process equipment that exceeds
customer expectations.

to others in our open forum.
Mr. Sunderhaus needs a way to unload and transport material:
Seeking commercially available system for catching material
coming out of a walking floor trailer that will transition
into a pneumatic system capable of conveying at a rate of
40 ton/hr.
Todd Sunderhaus
The Clorox Company
mailto:Todd.Sunderhaus@clorox.com
Mr. Marshall needs a sampling system for powders:
I'm looking for a sampling system for powder. The sample
required (once to twice per day)is less than 1 pint. It is
taken from a 10,000 gal dryer that operates under a 50 mm(hg)
pressure (vacuum). I need to take the sample without breaking
vacuum. Only have a 1" to 1-1/2" threaded nozzle to attach
sampling device. The main purpose of the sample is to determine
"dryness" of the product, so that, it can be transported to
the next step.
Any ideas, companies, etc.?

Mr. Mabbitt wants clean pneumatic conveying lines:
We are looking for a way to clean out our powder conveying
pipes. We had thought of purchasing some type of drain pipe
cleaner, but the application may not work. Surely someone
out there has a method to clean out and sometimes unplug
these pipes.

Mr. Mesquita wants pneumatic conveying system for kaolin:
I want to transport 30 ton/h dry clay kaolin (# 325) in
a dilute-phase pneumatic conveying system over a distance
of 60 m. The relative air-humidity at place is about 90%.
Can anyone give me some experiences?
