Bag Filling System for Hard-to-Feed Materials
------------------------------------------------------------
WHITEWATER, WI - The unique Loss-Of-Weight batching system
includes a de-aeration lance which draws out a large percentage
of the free air between the powder particles in an effort to
rapidly settle materials in the bags.
The popular quick-disconnect feature provides for ease of
cleanability and flexibility of materials. The bag filling
system is ideal for the Loss-Of-Weight batching of aeratable
to dense powders into bags and drums with batch sizes ranging
from 10 to 50 kg in 30-60 seconds.
The AccuRate Model 8000 microprocessor based control with
customized batching software has the ability to control the
bag clamping device, feeder batching, and the de-aeration
lance operation all through the use of a operator foot switch.
The system controller also offers bulk dribble and bump
features.
AccuRate has been finding solutions to bulk solids metering
problems for over 30 years. AccuRate is a unit of SCHENCK,
located in Darmstadt, Germany. AccuRate, pioneers of the
first flexible walled volumetric feeder, continues to
provide innovative solutions through state-of-the-art
technology and superior customer service. AccuRate has
been IS09001 certified since 1995.

GreCon, Inc. Celebrates Grand Opening of New Facility
------------------------------------------------------------
GreCon, Inc. hosted an open house on Friday, April 7th, to
celebrate the grand opening of their new facility located in
Tigard, Oregon. Many people came out to participate in the
event, including the CEO of parent company, GreCon GMBH,
Gerd Greten from Germany.
"Forty years ago I came to the United States as a young
student and was moved by the feeling of freedom and
creativity I was able to enjoy. It became my dream to
own a business in this country. It is obvious we have
all come a long way," Mr. Greten said proudly in his
opening statement to the employees of GreCon.
Following opening ceremonies everyone joined together in
front of the new building. A long blue ribbon was then
passed to them as Mr.Greten explained the color blue was
symbolic of the ocean which connects Germany and the United
States. With scissors in hand everyone cut the ribbon at
the same time, celebrating the success of the joint effort
and of the official opening.
Highlights of the new building include:
-10,000 square feet
-More efficient production and testing areas
-Direct Modem Contact - allows on-line technical support,
troubleshooting and upgrades
-Customer consultation and individual training during
equipment production and testing phases

Plastics Recycling System Successfully Commissioned in Mexico
------------------------------------------------------------
Jacksonville, Florida -- Trebor Resource Recovery, L.L.C.
successfully completed the commissioning of an electrostatic
system in Mexico. The Trebor supplied equipment was delivered
to Mefusa S.A. de C.V. just outside of Mexico City. The
systems objective is to recover clean Polyethylene and Aluminum
from telecommunication scrap. Mefusa re-extrudes the
polyethylene in to several products.
Completion of this project represents over 12 months of
consulting, testing and design that included liberation
studies and various types of separation testing. "Mefusa
is an important international client for us and it's
good to see a project like this move ahead. We look
forward to continuing our relationship with Mefusa on
future projects", says Trebor President Robert Carver.
Mefusa contracted with Trebor and Scandinavian Recycling
of Sweden to provide a turnkey solution for grinding and
processing of the PE/Aluminum scrap. Scandinavian Recycling
provided the granulation circuit that included a prechopper,
granulator, magnetic separation and material handling and
feeding equipment.
The separation system supplied by Trebor utilizes screening,
aspiration, electrostatic separation, engineering and other
ancillary equipment. The system is designed to process
2,000 lbs./hr. of feed and capable of handling various types
of cable jacketing. Product grades for both the PE and
aluminum are currently greater than 95% and the use of a
middlings recirculation circuit ensures maximum recovery.
Trebor worked with various equipment vendors to provide
Mefusa with a complete system meeting all separation and
material handling requirements. Vendors included: Eriez
Magnetics, Kice Industries, Minox, Universal Industries,
and Goodman Conveyor. This installation is one of the
first to incorporate the new Eriez model ES 14-60
electrostatic separator. Eriez personnel from both the
U.S. and Mexico were on hand to assist with the start-up.
Thanks to the high quality of workmanship the start-up
was extremely trouble free.

Mr. Leung needs with vibratory feeding:
My current project involves vibratory feeder design. The test
feeder that we’ve made is producing a ripple like movement
of powder when activated. So, the powder in the center of
ripple source is not moving, and on the sides it moves in
opposite direction. Can anyone out here give advise on the
problem, please?
