Sandvik Expands in Australia
------------------------------------------------------------

Acquires leading service company in mining industry.

Sandvik Mining and Construction's Roxon business sector has
acquired Beltreco Limited, the leading Australian service
company in the area of materials handling for the mining
industry. The head office is in Perth and the company has a
service network covering all main mining operations in Australia.
Annual sales amount to SEK 450 M, with 400 employees. The
acquisition will result in a positive contribution to
Sandvik's earnings as of 2001.

Combined with the acquired Beltreco, Roxon's Australian
company Prok will provide a complete range of equipment,
systems and components as well as service for material
handling and as a result strengthen its leading role on
the market.

Australia is one of the world's largest markets for mining,
with modern technology and a high level of automation.
Sandvik Mining and Construction has a broad market presence
in the area, with annual sales of nearly SEK 2 billion
in the country.

"The acquisition strengthens our offering to the mining
industry in the country and we are now the leading
supplier of service and spare parts as well as machinery
and materials handling systems," says Anders Ilstam,
President of Sandvik Mining and Construction. "The
acquisition is also well in line with our strategy to
grow in the areas of tools, spare parts and service in
order to increase our cooperation with the customers,"
states Anders Ilstam.

Sandvik Mining and Construction comprises of four companies:
Sandvik Tamrock, VA-Eimco, Driltech Mission and Roxon.
Sandvik Tamrock is the largest part of SMC representing
more than half of the sales. Sandvik Tamrock has main
plants in Finland, Sweden, France, Canada, Brazil, Mexico,
South Africa and India.

Sandvik Mining and Construction's other three businesses
are VA-Eimco in Austria, the United States, South Africa,
Australia and Poland, Driltech Mission (USA, Mexico and
India) and Roxon (Finland, Sweden, Germany and Australia).

New Motion Sensing Probe Protects Process Equipment
------------------------------------------------------------

Peterborough, Canada, October 12, 2000 - The new Milltronics
XPP-5 motion sensing probe offers reliable process protection
for virtually all types of rotating or moving machinery.

It monitors any ferrous target. That may include the buckets
on a bucket elevator, the flight of a screw conveyor, a key
way on a motor shaft, or any object that contains iron, whether
it is part of the actual equipment or a piece of metal added
to provide a target for monitoring.

Connected to the Milltronics MFA-4 motion failure alarm, the
motion sensor alerts the operator to an underspeed or an
overspeed condition on the monitored equipment. The operator
can then take immediate action to correct the problem before
serious damage occurs to the equipment.

The XPP-5 is a non-contacting device that mounts outside the
process. It gives reliable speed detection when mounted up
to 100 mm (4 inches) from the target. It’s a highly sensitive
2-wire magnetic probe with a fully potted pre-amplifier and
integral cable. It is CSA hazardous area approved for permanent
installation in Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, and D;
Class I, Division 2, Groups E, F, and G; as well as for Class
III applications.

Milltronics is a leading brand of sophisticated measurement
instruments used by the water and wastewater, aggregate,
cement, mining, chemical, milling, food and other process
industries. Principal product lines include level measurement,
dry solids flow measurement, and process protection devices.
Milltronics products are available worldwide through a
network of sales representatives and distributors.

Need a method to press or reduce moisture in con cobs before
