| China : GE
Plastics Purchases 150 FlexWall Feeders
Mississauga,
Ontario -- A major order from GE Plastics China Ltd. for
150 loss-in-weight feeders placed with Brabender
Technologie for bulk ingredient and liquid metering in 6
compounding lines.
GE Plastics produces new
compounds for the automotive industry in Pan Yu in the
province of Guangdong in Southern China. To meet the great
demands made on such high-performance plastics, these
metering feeders are used for extruder feeding to achieve
high metering accuracy.
The FlexWall Plus Feeders
work independently of stirring agitators due to a
"paddle-massaged" flexible hopper and feature
flexibility on account of the ability to interchange twin
and single screws in the same feeder. Additional criteria
was the quick cleaning in case of ingredient change-over.
The scope of supply also
includes the installation of conveyors, slide valves,
steelwork, collecting hoppers and system
engineering.
Brabender Technologie
manufactures feeding and batching equipment and systems.
Products include FlexWall feeders, loss-in-weight feeders,
weigh belt feeders, BatchMaster batching systems,
blenders, discharge aids and mass flow meters for powders,
flakes, pellets and fibers. Brabender has thousands
of installations worldwide.

Drum Handling : The New
MORStop Tilt-Brake
East
Syracuse, NY -- Morse Manufacturing is proud to announce
the new MORStop Tilt-Brake. When dispensing a heavy drum,
especially an unbalanced drum, operators may need to
manually lock the pull-chain or crank handle to prevent
unwanted drum rotation. The unique tilt-brake mechanism
automatically stops and holds the drum tilt angle. It is a
simple, compact anti-backdrive device that functions
smoothly and quietly in both directions.
The MORStop Tilt-Brake
utilizes proprietary technology to give the operator
unprecedented control as well as smooth and quiet
operation. When used together with the industry standard
Morse Pinion & Spur gear tiltdrive, the operator can
easily tilt and dispense a drum at will and have it stay
tilted without the operator holding onto the pull-chain or
crank handle.
The new Tilt-Brake can be
used on any new or used product from the Morse Karrier
product series (185, 285, or 400 series), or any manual
tilt product using a Morse style gear block. The MORStop
Tilt- Brake accessory can be easily installed to any
existing Morse Karrier product with a simple field
installation.
For nearly 80 years, Morse
Manufacturing has offered the most extensive line of drum
handling equipment anywhere in the world and has
introduced virtually every major product innovation in the
drum-handling marketplace.
