Lubrizol Co. and WBF Chairman said, “This Bulletin will provide
our organization with a timely and flexible communication vehicle.”
In addition, the electronic bulletin
allows for more frequent communication with its members. The
Bulletin will be distributed semi-monthly, an increase of WBF’s
former newsletter The Journal. The Bulletin will be distributed to
members and posted on the website www.wbf.org.
For any questions or comments regarding the Bulletin, please forward
to info@wbf.org.

Monroe, NC - Spiroflow has recently
developed a complete line of bag dump stations for dumping powders,
pellets and other dusty bulk granular materials into process
systems.
The
equipment is ideal for dumping material from bags into a process
machine hopper, filling blenders, check screeners, feeding mills and
dumping material into mixing tanks in chemical, rubber/plastic and
food applications.
The bag dump stations can be
furnished with or without integral dust collection and can be
adapted to existing dust collection equipment. A standard unit
features include removable grate, gas spring assisted access door,
removable filter cartridges, reverse pulse-air filter cleaning, high
capacity fan and bag shelf. The system decreases problems often
associated with dumping heavy bags of dusty material by providing a
controlled facility. Reverse filter cleaning and optional quick
detachable fittings decrease the station’s downtime, when high
performance standards are required.

New Low-Profile Rotoflo Discharge
System is a Winner
Portasilo Ltd has built on its
successful experience with the award winning Rotoflo Discharge
System to offer the new Low Profile ROTOFLO Discharger. This latest,
re-engineered development has the added benefit of an overall
reduction in the total installation height, which is particularly
useful in retro-fit applications, and offers further enhanced
material flow control.
The
ROTOFLO Low Profile Discharger has an external gearbox, which serves
to aid maintenance and also reduces the overall height of the
installation. Flexible, repeatable material flow performance is
further improved with the addition of adjustable scoops and enhanced
shut off arrangements. Users have the option of a fully controllable
feed rate turn down of a factor of up to 40:1.
If required, buyers can specify up to
four independent outlets for simultaneous or sequential feed direct
into the process.
The ROTOFLO system provides reliable,
controlled flow of difficult materials without vibration or aeration
in a wide range of new build and retro-fit applications. Rotating
material deflector scoops are employed in a chamber attached to the
storage vessel, with positive material shut off gates.
People post their requests for help and offer their
suggestions to others in our open forum.
Mr. Hoglund wants a vacuum
discharge system:
Anybody out there who can assist in
finding used vacuum discharging system, same as discharging grain
from ships.
The equipment should have a capacity
of up to 1000 cubic meters woodchips per hour. Alternatively
large volume suction screw compressors enabling to create desired
vacuum.

We need a big bag unloading system
for lumpy, clay-like, heavy material from a big bag, capacity about
12 mt/h. It must be fed to a belt, at an incline angle of
about 40°. Several vendors say an open-screw would do it,
several others not. Any ideas?
