Pneumatic Conveying In-Line Sifters

Leavenworth, KS -- Great Western Manufacturing's pneumatic In-Line sifters are designed to be directly inserted into a vacuum or pressure pneumatic conveying line as a quality assurance tool for removing a small amount of oversized impurities from the product.

Placed in a pneumatic unloading or transfer system, the Great Western In-Line Tru-Balance sifter eliminates equipment such as cyclone receivers, airlocks, receiving hoppers and blowers which would be required if a standard atmospheric pressure sifter were utilized.

The In-Line Tru-Balance sifter design allows the final sifting to take place as close to the final destination as possible to protect the product. The system design also provides rapid access for sifter inspection and accelerated sifter closing.

Great Western Manufacturing's In-Line sifters are used for scalping, grading and fines removal from dry, free-flowing powders and granular materials. The In-Line sifters are used to serve the cereal grain processors, mix plants, bakeries and snack food producers, spice processors and the pet food, chemicals, plastics and mineral industries.

Great Western Manufacturing is a leading designer and manufacturer of product protection and production sifters since 1858.

Mr. Mohring needs help filling silos:

What are the advantages/disadvantages of using a turbulence box on the top of a silo vs. a plain pipe with two 90 degree long radius elbows?

This would be for filling of fine powders or fine granular material pneumatically from a bulk unloading truck. (to post reply, click here)

Thanks,
