Nerak Systems becomes a Powder and Bulk Dot Com Sponsor
------------------------------------------------------------

We are pleased to announce that Nerak Systems have become a
sponsor of Powder and Bulk Dot Com. You can see their banner
ad on our home page.

Nerak Systems is the North American sales office for Nerak
Fördertechnik GmbH, in Hambühren, Germany. Nerak is a manufacture
of pivoting bucket conveyors for gentle handling of powders
and bulk solids. Nerak also manufactures package, bag and parts
lift conveyors.

Nerak's bucket conveyors offer gentle handling of delicate food
and similar products to handling of every type of high-abrasive,
high-impact materials. Units are available in open frame or
totally closed, dust proof construction. Designs include "Z"
and "C" shape arrangements. Great for loading packaging machines,
rail cars and bulk carriers.

One of their specialties is a unique continuous vertical conveyor
used by the US Postal Service and others for conveying containers
vertically, upward or downward in a multi-floor building. Nerak's
continuous vertical conveyors are typically integrated into package
handling, pallet moving, baggage handling and automated sorting systems.
Nerak's continuous vertical conveyors are ideal for older buildings
with many floors. Packages can be loaded randomly and moved
floor-to-floor and discharged automatically at a selected level.

Safety Systems Manufacture Performs "House Calls"
------------------------------------------------------------

Flexible Lifeline Systems (FLS) performs on-site systems reviews
or "house calls" followed by in-house design of a system by our
engineers to suit your safety needs. FLS fabricates in-house
and installs your equipment with their certified installers,
who are trained and approved by FLS's staff.

These crews are know to work on buildings, hangars, railcar
facilities, towers,....anywhere a fall can occur.

Loading, unloading and inspecting trucks and railcars can pose
a serious fall hazard. Companies are required to provide fall
protection for their workers. Unfortunately there has not
always been a clear solution to many of the fall hazards
encountered in the work place. Flexible Lifeline Systems
developed a new stand-alone fall protection platform eliminating
the need for overhead structure for anchoring purposes.

Flexible Lifeline Systems is devoted to developing new and
innovative solutions for all fall protection issues. If any
reader would like an onsite visit, FLS is pleased do so at your
convenience. Mario at FLS would be pleased to speak with you
and arrange for a site visit at no expense to you!

let's get on with it! People post their requests for help and
offer their suggestions to others in an open forum.

Mr. John Stotlzfus is looking for a belt conveyor:

We are looking for a small width flex belt, belt that would
have a low profile of 1" or less. This belt would be tracked
on a spiral configuration and be able to flex to conform to
a 26" diameter x 7" pitch flight. We are currently looking
into using small plastic profiles similar to a plastic flex
belt.

We would like to go with a stretch material similar to spandex.
Belt width would vary from 1" to 3" and thickness depends on
material selection. We would also like to be able to use a
stub nose at each end of the conveyor.
