Red Dead Redemption 2: The Western hit continues to climb global sales charts

Rockstar’s western hit Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to be successful even years after its release and continues to climb the charts of the world’s best-selling games.

When it comes to Rockstar games, Grand Theft Auto always commands attention. However, there is a second well-known game series from developer Red Dead Redemption that is enjoying huge success.

The same can be seen in Red Dead Redemption 2, which, according to new information, is now approaching 64 million copies sold. This means that the game has continued to rise in the ranking of the most frequently sold games worldwide and is now at number 7.

If a western epic wants to break into the top 5, it needs to sell millions more copies. Mario Kart 8 _(Deluxe) is currently at number 6 with around 70 million copies sold, followed by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds aka PUBG with 75 million sold. Wii Sports took fourth place with 83 million units, with an even bigger gap in the top 10 after that.

Minecraft tops the list with 300 million copies, followed by GTA V with around 200 million units and the EA version of Tetris with 100 million units sold.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be part of the PlayStation Plus Extra Games subscription again next week. A multiplayer component, Red Dead Online, is also included.
