Innovation meets creativity in Frankfurt. ProLight + Sound 2024 focuses on Audio & Studio, Theater & Light, Sustainability & Green, Campus & Green, Conferences and Awards. More than 500 brands and manufacturers are expected at the largest exhibition for theater and stage technology and the most important trade fair for lighting technology. Like the previous year, the trade fair occupied Halls 11 (Sound) and 12 (Light) and Portal House and the outdoor area.
Hall 11: Sound
Hall 11 showcases sound, studio and production equipment as well as media and camera technology, making it a platform for innovation in DJing and digital live performance through various audio demo rooms and workshops. In cooperation with the Federal Association of Television Cameramen. V. (BFVK) A separate section is being developed on the topic of moving pictures. The centerpiece of the area is the TV studio-style speakers area. Image Creation Hub promises to be a trade show highlight.
Hall 12: Light
Hall 12 is about lighting and theater equipment, projection and display technology and event services, equipment and planning. Focused on sustainability and creativity through energy-efficient, innovative LED solutions. Another focus is the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into lighting technology. Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in Theater Productions is an exciting development in theater and stage technology. The increasing automation of positioning components and control systems is also discussed.

The Performance + Product Center offers product demonstrations, live showcases and workshops with experts from well-known brands. In collaboration with the Sample Music Festival, the hub also provides a platform for future-oriented topics such as live remixing and looping, controllerism, and current software and applications. The live sound arena in the outdoor area provides powerful PA systems under real conditions.
Consistency
At Prolight + Sound 2024, offers related to the topics of energy efficiency and sustainability will be given more weight than ever before. With the Green Sessions, the EVVC (European Association of Event Centers) provides important incentives for the green event industry. On the main stage in Hall 11.0, renowned keynote speakers will address current industry topics. With the “Urban Garden” project, the Future Center further focuses on the topic of sustainability.
Training and promotion of young talent
ProAudio College was founded in 2023 with the Association of German Tonmeisters (VDT). It is expected to expand further in 2024. The four-day training program is dedicated to current trends in the sound reinforcement scene, innovations in studio products and exclusive training modules. Academic institutions with event courses, companies with vacancies and start-ups present their offerings at the Future Hub in Hall 11. Future Talent Day on March 22 invites young talents to learn about career opportunities in the event industry and network. The Prolight + Sound Conference, organized in association with VPLT eV (Association of Media and Event Technology), offers first-class technical knowledge.
Day and night entertainment
Daily live shows have been announced along with top international acts and like previous years, expect top quality artistes at the fair. Let's be surprised! PLS Social Nights will celebrate their debut in 2024. In the three evenings following the trade fair, ProLight + Sound invites all attendees to key networking events at exclusive Frankfurt locations.
